HERNDON COMMERCE CENTER
754 Elden Street, Herndon, VA

This mixed-use building prominently located at the corner of Elden and Station Streets is a direct result of careful coordination between the developer and development team and Herndon and its residents to create a building that would fulfill the needs of the market and the Town’s vision for its future. The resulting building is both beautiful and functional – very much in the spirit of Louis Sullivan’s architectural ethos.

The Herndon Commerce Center is intended to honor the inspired “Tiny Jewelbox” work of Louis Henry Sullivan during the early 1900s. The curvilinear facade elements and architectural molding reflect Sullivan works while a medallion, custom designed by architect Dennis Beese, adorns the glasswork of the building to echo Sullivan’s Art Nouveu embellishments.
